our story

We're Gamely - a small team based in Brighton in the UK, who create awesome original games that help people spend more quality time laughing together.

Gamely was born when our founder Hazel created a game so hilarious that she managed to lure her then 12-year-old sister away from her beloved iPad. She combined the best bits of her favourite games with a random twist to create Randomise - the family-friendly game that’s guaranteed to make you giggle.

Seeing how Randomise brought people together, she decided to start selling it and it proved to be rather popular… now there are crazy monkeys playing the drums, nervous racoons skydiving and even happy pigs doing the hula in homes all over the world. Hooray!

Today, with a whole host of family-friendly games to our name, including Soundiculous, The Pretender, Frozen Unicorns, Six Second Scribbles and A Little More Conversation - our motto is to have fun and do good!

games for good

Since Hazel started Gamely back in 2015 we’ve been giving away 10% of profits to charity each year.

In our first year we made a profit and were able to donate £458 to charity.

As we have grown so has the impact we have been able to make, and to date Gamely has donated over £100,000 to charity.

As a small business we are so proud of this and it is an absolute privilege to be able to support so many wonderful projects.

We donate money to various charities, most of which help some of the poorest and most vulnerable children across the world.

Charities we have supported include Play Action International, Sanku - Project Healthy Children, Evidence Action and Living Goods. Several of the charities we have supported we have discovered via The Life You Can Save.

In addition to cash donations we also give away 1000s of games each year to charities, schools and good causes across the UK. If you are a UK registered charity, school, hospital or a library you can request up to three free Gamely games here.

green games

We are trying our best to be the type of company we want to see more of in the world.

Part of this is being as responsible as we can with the impact we have on the environment.

From the very beginning of the design process we try to make our games as small as possible! Small games take up fewer natural resources to produce and ship around the world.

We plant 10 trees for every 1 we use.

We offset our carbon footprint.

From 2023 all the games we make will be plastic free!

There is still work to be done to improve - we will keep you posted on the changes we make across 2023.
